About Charles Osgood Charles Osgood, dubbed CBS' poet-in-residence, anchors and writes The Osgood File, his daily news commentary broadcast on WBZ NewsRadio 1030AM. He also has been anchor of CBS News Sunday Morning since 1994. His commentaries have drawn one of the largest audiences of any network radio feature. Osgood was called "one of the last great broadcast writers" by his predecessor on Sunday Morning, Charles Kuralt.
