A Good Walk Sometimes it pays to take part in an activity without a lot of “somethings” on your mind. No easy task for most of us swept up in the maelstrom of modern day living. There is a tried and true something that tends to work well if you’re looking for some stress release and a short escape from daily rigors. You know what it is. It involves putting one foot in front of the other.
Here's to the Ladies The role of talk show producer is one I know pretty well, seeing that I do set the guest schedule and the booking for the bulk of my programs. The Voyage Continues Nearly 50 years ago in what seems like a galaxy far, far away television writer Gene Roddenberry pitched a TV concept that Desi Arnaz of all people thought highly enough of to produce. Facing Facebook Wilhelm is thinking seriously about flossing…Naomi can’t wait to settle down with an apple martini after a long hard day…Niles is adding grout to his bathroom tiles and looks forward to inviting me over for fondue to celebrate…Mindy from the Bronx is cutting a new album, a follow-up to her Goth-Metal-Rap debut heard by seventeen souls last January....
Two Promising Developments Feeling a bit blue about the state of our world lately? With all of the doomsayers out there flagellating themselves and anyone within earshot with ugly news, it seems a moral victory to manage even a simple smile these days. The economic numbers and those pesky long-range forecasts are bleak at best.
Ground 'Em! If you’re looking for analysis of the current economic malaise based on my intimate knowledge of Adam Smith and his “Wealth of Nations” treatise, you won’t find it here. Neither will you hear me opine on the pros and cons of John Maynard Keynes and whether or not the U.S. is about to officially go democrat socialist a la our bon amis from silly old France.
