West Bridgewater, MA (AP) -- The hunt is on in Bridgewater for an escaped inmate.
The Brockton Enterprise reports Manson Brown, 51, of Mattapan managed to escape the minimum security prison while on a cigarette break last night. The Plymouth County sheriff's department believes Brown may've arranged for a vehicle to pick him up.
Command posts have been set-up on the Bridgewater correctional complex.
Brown is described as a black male, last seen wearing a white T-shirt and gray sweat pants.
Media reports say he was in jail for a conviction on an armed robbery charges. He's also been indicted on rape charged after DNA evidence linked him to the alleged crime.
