Manchester (AP) -- Manchester, N.H., mayor Frank Guinta aays someone hacked into his city e-mail account and used it to send about 650,000 messages.
Captain Gerald Lessard says police were given information about the breach Thursday, and are asking for the public's help in identifying those responsible for what is a felony offense.
Guinta says the e-mails were sent over a 12- to 24-hour period. He said the city's information systems manager told him many of the messages appear to be spam.
Guinta said he was angry that someone hacked into his account and surprised because the city has a good firewall system.
