Taunton (AP) -- A Taunton man has been ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty to murdering a man whose corpse he brought to the hospital.
Nelson Melo was arraigned Wednesday in Taunton District Court.
The 32-year-old Melo is the second man to be charged with murder in connection with the Nov. 3 death of 31-year-old Chad Fleming of Deerfield Beach, Fla. Police say Fleming was beaten to death in or near Melo's home, and had been dead several hours by the time Melo took him to the hospital.
Melo is being held on $50,000 bail after pleading not guilty to witness intimidation.
Aaron Morin, a 26-year-old Freetown man, has also pleaded not guilty to murder.
Melo's lawyer previously said his client had nothing to do with Fleming's death.
