Concord, NH (AP) -- State officials say a child in the Pelham, N.H., area has died from complications from swine flu, the second such death in the state.
The Department of Health and Human Services did not release the child's age. In August, a 22-year-old woman died of complications from the virus.
Dr. Jose Montero, the state's public health director, also announced Wednesday the state is expanding its vaccination campaign to include more people at higher risk of complications from H1N1. People caring for or living with infants 6 months old, children 6 months to 4 years old and people 18 to 24 years old with underlying medical conditions are now a priority for shots. In addition, the state will hold flu clinics in the next few weeks for those over age 18.
