A beef recall turns fatal.

The New Hampshire Public Health Department confirms one person is dead after apparently consuming contaminated ground beef that's part of a multi-state recall.  The New Hamphion Union Leader reports the unidentified NH resident died from complications related to e. Coli from the tained beef. Two others were also sickened, but have recovered. 

More than half-a-million pounds of the beef was sold at the end of September and the beginning of October, and is no longer on store shelves, but the FDA is advising consumers to check their freezer for potentially contaminated ground beef associated with this recall. 

The contaminated beef, supplied by a New York Company, was also sold in a number of Massachusetts stores, including BJ's, Shaws, Trader Joes, and Price Chopper.
