Billerica (WBZ Newsroom) -- Divers searched Nutting Lake again on Thursday for a man who fell overboard from a boat about 50 yards from shore after rescuers failed to find him as darkness fell on Wednesday.
Searchers were forced to chop away thick vegetation growing in some areas of the pond, officials said.
The man was rowing the boat when he went overboard, witnesses said.
A State Police helicopter used a spotlight to illuminate the pond after the accident was reported at sunset on Wednesday, but later in the evening the search was suspended until daylight.
There was no information about the identity of the missing man.
