Stoneham (WBZ Newsroom) -- No school at Stoneham High School Wednesday because of what officials called a serious threat.
Investigators say someone threw a brick with a letter attached through a window in the school before it opened for classes around 6 a.m.
Officials say the note was a "Columbine style" threat that police believe considered credible. WBZ-TV's Bill Shields was told that the note threatened pipe bomb placements throughout the school.
The State Police bomb squad and a SWAT team were brought in to search the entire complex and found nothing.
Students and their families received an automated phone call alerting them to stay home for the day.
