Cambridge (AP) -- A Sunday morning fire seriously damaged a church in Cambridge. The blaze began at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cambridge and quickly spread through the building.
Fire officials say the blaze, which was reported just after 11 a.m. Sunday, quickly reached three alarms.
About 300 people were inside the church at the time, but officials say it appears everyone was able to make it outside safely.
Witnesses say attendance at the church was larger than usual because the parish was conducting a teleconference with another Mormon church in Utah. The building is about 60-years old.
