Sox Ink Papelbon, Two Others, to One-Year Deals BOSTON (AP) - The Red Sox and closer Jonathan Papelbon agreed Tuesday to a $9.35 million, one-year contract, the highest salary for a reliever with four years of major league service.
Boston also agreed to one-year deals with relievers Ramon Ramirez ($1,155,000) and Manny Delcarmen ($905,000).

Lowell still with The Sox, trade to Rangers is off Mike Lowell may not be leaving Boston afterall. Multiple reports say the Red Sox trade of Lowell to the Texas Rangers has been called off. The reason is a thumb injury suffered by Lowell near the end of last season that will require minor surgery.

Lackey, Cameron get Sox for Christmas Pitcher John Lackey and outfielder Mike Cameron were introduced to Red Sox Nation today after both signed contracts to play with Boston.
Lackey, with a 102-71 lifetime regular season record and Cameron, with three Gold Glove Awards to his credit, provide a boost to a team seeking to re-gain the upper-hand in the American League East.

The Boston Red Sox are set to announce free-agent deals with pitcher John Lackey and outfielder Mike Cameron.
The Red Sox have scheduled a pair of press conferences for Wednesday to welcome Lackey and Cameron to Boston.

Red Sox Get Lackey, Cameron for 2010
BOSTON (AP) -- The retooling Red Sox made two key moves in one day, reaching tentative agreements with pitcher John Lackey and outfielder Mike Cameron.
Lackey and Boston agreed on a five-year contract, according to a baseball official with knowledge of the negotiations.
