Boston (AP)  -- Boston's Museum of Fine Arts has reopened an entrance on the building's north side that had been closed for three decades but has now undergone extensive renovation.

Museum officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to mark the reopening, which is part of an ongoing renovation and expansion of the entire museum.

The entrance has been named the "State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance," recognizing a $10 million gift from the Boston-based financial services company. State Street's gift last fall was the museum's largest-ever corporate donation.

The original entrance dates to 1915, but has been closed since the late 1970s.
