Boston (AP)  -- Boston-based Houghton-Mifflin, publisher of Curious George books, might sue Mike Norman, owner of a bar in Marietta, Georgia. 

Norman sold a bunch of t-shirts featuring the character eating a banana with the words "Obama in '08". 

Norman told CNN he didn't mean it to be a racist message. 

He says he ran out of the t-shirts and isn't sure whether he'll order up any more. 

A spokesman for Houghton-Mifflin says the t-shirt is "utterly out of keeping with the values Curious George represents."
