Boston (WBZ Newsroom)  -- No eviction for a Dorchester mother of three....for now. 

Melanie Griffith-Evans claims she's a victim of predatory lending practices and can't pay her mortgage. 

Tuesday morning Evans' bank planned to evict her, but members of the group "City Life" showed up at the home on Semont Road to keep that from happening. Members said they were willing to be arrested, calling this the new civil rights movement. 

At around 9:30 a.m., the constable called Evans to say they weren't coming. 

Evans says she's willing to pay rent, but hasn't received a response from the bank. 

A City Life activist says up to 15-hundred people in Boston could face the same situation this year and they start protesting outside banks themselves.
